Mindfulness
Skills mindfulness (mindfulness). The ultimate goal is that patients
learn to become aware of their experiences (emotions, thoughts, feelings,
behavior, etc). It is an attitude of contemplation of our experiences,
giving us the opportunity to know and accept and not make value judgments about the
impulsively them and dependent on mood. It is focus
attention in the present moment and present experiences, rather than run from them.
This is the first step to discover and validate what adaptive and, moreover, to
to identify the most problematic aspects. Mindfulness techniques are
based mainly on the Eastern Zen philosophy. The strategies are divided into technical
"What" and technical "how." Technical "What" include learning to observe, describe
and participate in our experiences. Technical "how" they are held at the same time
strategies "do". How to observe, describe and judge and participate ?: No
experiencing the events one by one, pointing out the advantages of being more
aware of our experiences to accept or change what we bring
problems. Training in mindfulness is practiced throughout the training
skills as a prerequisite to train other strategies. For example, for
practicing tactics of emotional regulation is a requirement that the patient is able to
observe, describe and part of emotional experiences.
